Fully dynamic (sites such as GraphicsDev.net) can often produce rather confusing confusing contents in the address bar, making it awkward or ugly to link to your the information you want. We have implemented a URL alias system that allow you to provide much cleaner links to our sites content.

If you would like to provide a link to content on the site, you can get more readable URLs by using the following aliases:

• www.graphicsdev.net/main/blog/username ^{(To access your blog)}
• www.graphicsdev.net/main/user/username ^{(To access your profile)}
• [ToDo: Add the other content types.]

Where obviously you would substitute username with your actual username, such as:

• http://www.graphicsdev.net/main/user/Sages

• www.graphicsdev.net/main/mysite ^{(To access your MySite)}

This format is much cleaner than the auto-generated URLs that sometimes who up in the address bar. We highly recommend using these easier to read versions.
